Our company started in June 2011 by Dr. Gabriel Pereira, our family dentist. Coming from the largest privately owned dental practice in South Africa, Dr. Pereira was set on doing things a little differently. No longer would you, our patient, be just a surname on our list, but rather a new member of our greater family.
“Taking the Time to Care” is something that we take very seriously at our practice. We strive to treat the young and the young at heart with the care and patients that they deserve. Overcoming your fears and anxieties can be done in a calm and pleasant manner. We, at The Family Dentist, look forward to welcoming you to be part of our growing family.

Dr Spinola qualified at the University of the Western Cape in 2007 and received the prize for Top Orthodontic Student. In May 2014 he joined The Family Dentist practice as an associate dentist.
Jade qualified top in her class as a dental assistant in 2014. She has a passion for dentistry and enjoys working with people. In her spare time she'll usually be enjoying the great outdoors or spending time with her family.

Gayle is our receptionist and dental assistant. She is yet another friendly voice that you will hear when making your appointment. She enjoys reading, watching TV and being in the company of her family and friend.
Lelanie is our receptionist and is currently a Student dental assistant at Tshwane University of Technology. She is one of the many friendly voices that you hear and see when visiting us. Gardening and spending time with her husband and two children is her favourite pass time.

about Dr. Pereira
In 2004, Dr Gabriel Pereira graduated at the University of the Witwatersrand and received the Prossa Prize for Clinical Removable Prosthodontics. Shortly after completing his community service year in Lichtenburg, he started working at a private practice in Alberton. It was here that he developed and perfected what he calls Family Orientated Dentistry. In July 2011 he moved to Pretoria and started his own practice called The Family Dentist.

Dr. Pereira enjoys working with children and has a keen interest in Family Dentistry.
In his spare time he enjoys the company of his wife Joanne, son Julian, daughter Sienna, his two French Bulldogs, Arthur and Fergie, and his family.
