Meet the people who are going to make you smile :)

Quinton graduated from the University of Pretoria in the top 10 of his class. He completed his postgraduate Diploma in Oral Surgery in 2021. Quinton enjoys being a general dentist and has a passion for making his patients feel happy and comfortable during every visit. His interests include cooking, going on hikes and spending time with his family.

Nicole graduated from the University of Pretoria in 2020. She has a love for working with children and making dental appointments as comfortable as possible. Off-duty she indulges her inner child with a fondness for all things Barbie and she is not ashamed to admit that she is a major Swiftie. She is an avid runner and enjoys the freedom and serenity it brings. So, if you can’t find her at the practice – she is likely on a run.

Dewald is one of our Info Desk members. He enjoys working with people and always has time for a laugh. If you need something done, Dewald is definitely your go-to guy. In his spare time he likes to relax and is always keen for a braai. He has a great passion for sport and is a massive rugby fan.

Alisa is one of our most experienced dental assistants. She is a devoted mother who enjoys spending time with her family and loves caring for animals. She blends professional expertise with personal warmth, fostering a welcoming environment for patients and her team. She loves the outdoors & will braai at every opportunity she gets. Other fond pastimes include fixing things, dabbling in DIY, fishing, hiking and baking.

Naimah is a vibrant dental assistant with a contagious smile. Her name derives from the Arabic language carrying connotations associated with comfort and delight. Her outgoing and humorous nature makes her a beloved presence wherever she goes. When she's not brightening smiles at work, Naimah loves to unwind with yoga, and cherish moments with family and friends. Her passion for making a difference shines through her background in community and health psychology, and she's dedicated to positively impacting children's lives. With her warm heart and caring spirit, she embodies the perfect blend of compassion, intelligence, and joy.

Micaela is one of our friendly front desk hosts. She is originally from Kimberley (no wonder her second name is Jade) and graduated with a diploma in hospitality management. During her time in hospitality, she gained valuable knowledge of how to handle guest needs. Her time at the LEGO store made her great with children. Fear not for Micaela's love for animals ensures that should you bring a pet along, she will love them as you do. Micaela is sweet, careful not to get a cavity, and kind. Outside of work, you can find her with friends (she'll be there for you) or engrossed in a suspenseful mystery novel. Alternatively, you can find her building up her collection of LEGO.

Janika graduated from the University of Pretoria in 2015. She has a passion for paediatric & aesthetic dentistry, with a focus on injection moulding and Active Aligners. She loves people and her empathic nature focuses on her patient’s wellbeing in every appointment. In her free time she enjoys spending time with everyone she loves, especially her cuddly Frenchies and adores travelling and new adventures. She also loves learning new skills and is a sucker for a good cup of coffee and Paul’s Homemade Ice-cream!

Johan graduated from the University of Pretoria as both a dentist and a published researcher, roughly two streets down from where he was originally born. A city boy by heart, he now spends his days with a passion for building healthy smiles and getting rid of toothache, as gently as possible. You can catch him on most afternoons and evenings at The Family Dentist working as one of our Night Owl dentists. But when he's not around, he's out taking photos, playing tennis, or talking about cars.

Sonja has a strong passion for organization and administration. She approaches every task with care and precision, following her motto: “One paper at a time.” When she is not ensuring smooth administration at the practice, she enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends, often around a campfire, sharing stories and laughter.

Michelle is one of our friendly dental assistants and basically our mini-Superwoman. She is our saving grace where help is needed. She is kind hearted, has a serving nature and absolutely adores animals. She loves the outdoors and going on new adventures when she gets the chance. She also enjoys spending time with her family. Her personal goal is to grow with The Family Dentist.

Jaydene is one of our valued dental assistants. She is known for her kind heart and a wonderfully calming presence, always ensuring every patient feels comfortable and at ease. While her nature is sweet, she is also meticulous and dedicated, bringing a firm professionalism to her role and ensuring the smooth running of the clinic. ​Outside of the practice, Jaydene is a loving mother and loves staying active by going to the gym. Her professional goal is to continue growing her skills in the dental field and build great relationships with all our patients at The Family Dentist.

Mikayla is a warm and welcoming presence patients meet when they arrive at The Family Dentist. She plays a key role in creating a calm and positive experience that helps every patient feel comfortable from the moment they walk in. Known for her genuine care for people, Mikayla brings a unique blend of effortless warmth and vibrant spark to the team. Outside of work, she enjoys expressing her creative side by journaling and surrounding herself with anything turquoise. One thing about Mikayla: She believes in standing out authentically.

Natalie is passionate about making dental visits comfortable and enjoyable. She graduated from the University of Pretoria in 2015, ranking in the Top 10 of her class and earning awards in Endodontics and Removable Prosthodontics and completed a post-graduate diploma in Endodontics. Outside of dentistry, she enjoys outdoor adventures with her dogs, crafting, and embracing life’s simple joys. Her guiding principle, “A candle loses nothing by lighting another candle,” reflects her commitment to helping others achieve optimal oral health.

Ash is a proud graduate of the University of Pretoria and has always loved working with his hands — whether it’s fixing a tooth, a gadget, or a wobbly chair, there’s something rewarding about restoring things to their best form. Dentistry allows him to do exactly that, while helping people feel confident about their smiles. When Ash isn’t busy helping people find relief from those not-so-fun dental aches, you’ll probably find him in the kitchen whipping up some Alfredo pasta, spending time with friends, or happily getting lost in the latest dental research. Come for the fillings, stay for the chat, and maybe a few cooking tips.

Marizané is our admin maestro and accounts genius. She completed her BA in Hospitality Management and her Honours in Business Management. She values quality time spent with loved ones & headbanging to music in her car. When she’s not keeping track of a million-and-one tasks at work, she’s off winning quiz nights with her friends or re-watching series an embarrassing number of times.

Neeltjé is an assistant who believes in the power of kindness, good coffee, and a well-organized to-do list. She loves creating a welcoming atmosphere and keeping things running smoothly. Outside the office, you’ll usually find her on a hiking trail, coffee in hand, music playing, and her Yorkie trotting happily beside her. She believes life’s best moments are a mix of hard work, laughter, and a paw-sitively good attitude.

Henry is one of our full time Front Desk Coordinators. He brightens up the room wherever he goes and having completed his 3-year Diploma in Marketing and Public Relations, a positive mindset and people interaction is important to him. He is a rugby and cricket fanatic, and braaivleis and biltong is his signature style. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with loved ones and catching up on all his favourite TV series.
